Lorenzo Frignani began his career in 1986 and has been building and restoring stringed and plucked instruments for over thirty years. His instruments have received many awards and prizes in Italy and around the world. In addition to his work as a luthier, he has been deeply involved in many other aspects of the international music scene. He has been a member of the jury of several national and international violin-making competitions, such as Baveno and Pisogne in Italy, and has worked as an expert consultant with insurance companies such as Assicurarte (Cremona) and AXA ART. he is president of the ALI professional association (Associazione Italiana Liutai Professionali). He has designed and organised exhibitions of musical instruments in Parma, Finale Emilia, Medora, Pieve di Canto, Spezzano and Rome (Bibioteca Casanatense). As well as abroad, in Beijing, Lausanne (Brillancourt - a three-month exhibition and catalogue in two languages at Philip Morris' world headquarters) and the Geigenbaumuseum Mittenwald (Germany). He has participated in exhibitions of contemporary violin making in Austria and China. From 1992 to 1998 he won many prizes in national and international competitions .......
