Oscar Flores, first studied fashion design in his native Chile before coming to Belgium over 20 years ago.

He continued part of his secondary education at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, where he studied artistic painting. He then continued his academic career, completing his higher education in decorative and interior architecture at the Saint-Luc School of Architecture in 1997. During this period he discovered the art of stained glass and decided to perfect his skills in this field, so he attended various training courses in important workshops. After two years of initiation in the workshop of Claudine Métivier in Marcq en Baroeul, France, Oscar Flores joined the Atelier Van Veerdegem - Vosch in Brussels on an apprenticeship contract. For three years he was trained in various techniques of stained glass restoration and creation. During his apprenticeship, he was able to benefit from the experience of four generations of master glassmakers in the Van Veerdegem family before setting up his own workshop. In addition to the practical and professional experience gained over the years, Oscar Flores has continued to improve his skills by collaborating with others.The work carried out by Atelier Flores includes both restoration work and creative work in different styles. Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Contemporary and using traditional stained glass techniques, with or without painting, but also using the Tiffany technique.
