Via S'Ena, 1, 07016 Pattada, SS, Italy
The history of Sardinian knives is closely linked to the skills of the craftsmen who made these small masterpieces. Partada, an ancient village in the heart of Monte Arcuto in Sardinia, was the birthplace of some of the most outstanding craftsmen who revolutionised the history of Sardinian knives: in fact, it was here that the pattadese, a special type of spring-loaded knife, was born, making Partada famous throughout the world. Pattada was not only home for Massimo, but also the place that played a central role in his career choice: in fact, it was here that he studied and breathed his passion for creating fine knives every day. And Massimo, who from an early age had a predilection for art and craft, for painting and the manipulation of materials, grew up with a desire to learn how to make his knives, to perfect his technique and to become an undisputed master: this was the birth of the Manca creation, an exclusive artisan production that won awards all over the world, which allowed Massimo to create a niche among collectors worldwide and to become Pattada A part of history.
